About US

Welcome to Adventures in Camp – where each summer is a thrilling journey filled with fun, discovery, and growth. Adventures in Camp is a Teacher Made & Teacher Run summer day camp for children aged 4-12. This youth camp is certified in Columbia, Maryland and is in good standing (and has been for 20 years). At Adventures in Camp, we are passionate about creating unforgettable experiences that allow children to explore their creativity, develop new skills, and make lasting friendships. Our camp is designed to provide a perfect balance of adventure, learning, and play in a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring that every camper leaves with memories that will last a lifetime.

Our team consists of experienced educators, activity leaders, and child development experts who are committed to making sure every child feels welcome, supported, and excited about their summer. Whether it’s through hands-on science experiments, outdoor exploration, or creative arts and sports, we offer a wide range of activities that cater to all interests. At Adventures in Camp, we believe that every child deserves a summer filled with laughter, growth, and adventure!

What is special about our camp?

At Adventures in Camp, LLC we are a teacher made and teacher run summer camp. Our staff are current professional educators, or in college to be future educators. Being current educators or in school to become educators, means we can use our skills, strategies, training and past experiences to help provide the best environment for our campers.  Talk about Teacher Run Summer Fun!

There is at least one CPR, First Aid, and Asthma trained and certified counselor per maximum of eight to ten campers. This is in addition to our extensive training that all of our staff go through yearly. If there are more campers in their group, an additional adult that is certified in all areas, will be with the group. This way the campers will be highly supervised and receive all the attention they deserve!

Campers ages 4 through 12 are invited to come to our camp. Campers are grouped by age, we try our best to separate siblings so that all campers enjoy their stay at Adventures in Camp. Make sure you are ready for a day FULL of FUN!! This summer camp has a variety of daily activities that everyone enjoys. We have fun playing sports and games outside, making arts and crafts, going on nature walks, practicing for our talent show, and playing games inside. Once a week there is a field trip, and Friday is our talent show performance, pizza, ice cream, and swimming day.

Program Highlights

At Adventures in Camp, we offer a wide range of exciting activities designed to inspire and challenge every camper! Our Themed Exploration weeks take children on creative adventures with unique themes, while Team Challenges promote problem-solving and collaboration. Campers also stay active with Sports and Team Building, learning teamwork and leadership through fun games. Plus, our hands-on STEM Activities ignite curiosity and creativity, encouraging young minds to explore science, technology, engineering, and math. Each day at Adventures in Camp is packed with opportunities for growth, discovery, and fun!
